you may remember me from such misadventures as...
Brian cannonballs a v12 jaguar across the country, and then

well, a bunch has happened over the years. and well, i thought you lot ought to know about at least whats been up the last few weeks. namely, i decided the current #workfromanywhere scenario we’re in means
i should pack up my least reliable car (among a few very unreliable cars) and take an extended road trip with no real destination or time frame.
anyway, i also succumbed and set up an ig account to... uh... document? or something.
have at it:

Gorgeous car.
I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

Brian’s a Sado-Masochist...
That Jag-E31 combo is the automotive equivalent of a ball gag AND a Steely Dan— operated by this specialist... and you just ran over her dog in the parking lot when the e-brake failed on the BMW again.

Ahoy! I see that none of your cars will ever break down… Also the wheel fitment on that Porsche is beautiful.

I approve of this experiment. Of course, you will need to repeat enough to get a decent n.

Heh. Yeah, that’s gonna do it...

The fronts are just a touch proud. They’re 18x8.5. An 18x8 would be perfect.
Don’t remember any of the offsets off hand
The rears are 18x10 with a 10mm spacer and they’re a proverbial genital hair away from the rear suspension components on the onboard side, and 2 hairs away from rubbing on the inner fender lip.
But 18s look great on the 928.

Better than great. Perfect in a way the stock set-up never matched.

Interesting that each photo has a different car in it. I’ve been driving the same mini van for 15 years.

A master's degree in science?....

Oh, it might be a different car... but it’s the same story over and over again. Each a Greek tragedy.

my n for 2000+ mile road trips with potentially disastrous means of conveyance is ~7. i havent thought about the numbers recently.
but what i HAVE learned from these cars
is...
- don’t stop if you dont really have to. (or maybe just keep the motor running while you snap those pics)
- keep an eye on your gauges, yes, even the gas
- check your oil
- try to drive during the day. and weeknights if possible
- aim towards friendly destinations... or destinations with friends
- make sure youre in good standing with american express
